I've attempted contacting costumer support many times about this problem, but was only given the redundant answer that I received the previous email because it was out of stock and it would ship when it could. I received all of the ink cartridges fairly quickly and in late November I received an email saying my printer's delivery would be delayed because it was out of stock, but would ship as soon as possible. I wish I could give an actual review of the quality of this printer, but.I ordered this printer along with a bunch of extra ink in October thinking I would have it in no time. Well, this answer disregarded the fact that their website had been claiming that it was currently available. I decided not to cancel my order given that I had already invested a good sum of money stocking up on ink and whatnot for the printer and I wasn't really in much of a rush, not to mention I'd previously had good experiences using amazon. Since then I've checked online multiple times and found that amazon.com listed the printer as being in stock. It's now February of the following year and I still haven't received this printer, yet it's still listed as in stock. Needless to say, I'll be buying the printer elsewhere and will doubtfully be making any purchases through amazon.com in the future.
It will feed in a piece of paper half way, then stop; I have to pull it out of the printer (sometimes really hard to get out), reset and start over. This printer worked alright for a short time when I bought it a little over a year ago. It soon, however, began to have problems feeding the paper in, and it's been a problem ever since. If it's printing less than a full page of images or text, it will not feed the paper back out when finished, and I have to pull it out of the printer and reset again--all very frustrating when you're trying to print several things in a row, not to mention trying to print quickly.also, print quality has never been very good, with photos in particular.bummed. gonna look for a new kind.
It won't let me print if the cartridges are to low, so I end up having to buy two cartridges instead of just one. Prints and scans OK, however, need to replace both B/W and color cartridges even when I only print B/W. Canon support says color cartridge is used if you print gray text or images. My Lexmark inkjet doesn't have that problem. I haven't replaced its color cartridge in years, just the B/W one.
I rarely even use a printer, so I would estimate that I got less than 200 prints from it. I cleaned the roller, turned it upside down in case something had fallen into it, nothing worked.
The ridiculously expensive printer cartridges had dried up. I replaced them and immediately began having problems with the paper feed.
It was great for the first couple months, then we moved and when we set the printer back up it would no longer print. Now it has started to pull only the right side of the paper into the printer.
It kept pulling the entire stack of paper into the machine and jamming. I solved that problem by putting only 1 piece of paper in at a time and that worked for a couple of months; then it began jamming unless you held the paper perfectly straight while it fed into the machine.
This printer only prints if I hold a single piece of paper which has been cut in half perfectly straight and wait for it to feed into the printer and the thing is barely over a year old. Please don't waste your time or money like I have on this piece of junk.
The ink is more expensive than the HP printers. It has been a pretty good printer. I purchased this all-in-one printer about 13 months ago. So, I am left with a printer that doesn't work and I am going back to my "old faithful" an HP printer. The picture quality could use some improvement but overall it is OK. Printing envelopes is nearly impossible and I received an error code that requires maintenace and unfortunately the one year warranty was up so I am trashing this printer. Please use caution when purchasing this printer. Hindsight 20/20 I should have purchased an HP instead but I am cheap and went for the less expensive printer.
